On 21 June 2004, the general meetings of the MEOE Hungária Uszkár Klub /the National Association of the Hungarian Dog Breeders, the Hungarian Poodle Club/, the MEOE Joker Uszkár Klub and the MEOE Royal Uszkár Klub declared their own dissolution with unanimous decision. Consequently, we - more then 100 members present - established, with unanimous decision as well, the new sole organisation of the MEOE for tending the breed of poodles, exclusively representing it. The organisation has been given the name of MEOE Magyar Uszkár Klub (MUK) - MEOE Hungarian Poodle Club. After that, we appointed the members of the board of management for 4 years.

The Pug is of Chinese origin and dates back to the pre-Christian era. They were prized possessions of the Emperors of China and lived in a most luxurious atmosphere and at times were even guarded by soldiers. Records show that three types of short nosed dogs were bred by the Chinese. They were the Lion dog, the Pekingese and the Lo-sze. The Lo-sze or "Foo Dog" was the ancient Pug.
The Dutch traders brought the Pugs from the east to Holland and to England. The more refined Pug that we know today must be credited to the English. This happy little dog was enjoyed by many Monarchs of Europe and to this day is a favorite with royalty and discerning people all over the world.
The American Kennel Club first recognized the breed in 1885. The Pug's popularity grew by leaps and bounds but then dwindled by the turn of the century. A few dedicated breeders kept the breed going and slowly the pug reappeared on the American scene. The Pug Dog Club of America was founded in 1931 and recognized by the AKC that same year. The Pug is enjoying a rather steady rate of growth in popularity at the present time. He is not so popular as to be common nor so unknown as to be rare.
A Pug's character is unique in that he is a clown at heart with a terrific sense of humor but at the same time he carries himself with great dignity. They are not too delicate for fun and games. A pug is anxious to please, anxious to learn and anxious to love. His biggest requirement is that you love him back.

Since 1991 the Estonian Kennel Union, as the central body in Estonia, was an associative member of FCI, and since June 1, 1999 is a federated member. It has close connections with kennel unionsof the Nordic countries. We cannot underestimate the value of Finnish, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Icelandic unions when it comes to experience and trainig, practical help for organizing shows and educating referees, co-ordinating breeding activities, etc. At present the Estonian Kennel Union unites 35 organisations and 1,600 individuals all of whom deal with breeding of thoroughbred dogs in Estonia. It is responsible for publishing the magazine KOER (Dog) and arranging different undertakings, including 35 shows, 5 of them for all breeds and those are included in the international calendar of the FCI.

We are an International club for the Biewer Breed. This little companion dog was developed in Germany in the early 1980's by Mr. and Mrs. Biewer. It is a tri colored dog with long silky hair and the weight usually is-2-0 within the 4-7 pound range. Our club, BBCI, is dedicated to the preservation of the breed. Our goals range from the serious breeder who strives for the best they can breed to the owner who is striving to win in the showring to the pet owener who just want this wonderful breed as a companion. We have members from all over the world, ranging from Germany, Canada, South America and currently in 12 states in the USA. We proudly were accepted into the UCI de. http://www.u-c-i.de/index.shtml in Germany this past year. We are very serious about the Biewer and want to promote the breed but at the same time make sure that they don't fall into the wrong hands to be overpopulated. Our breeders do all they can to insure that the puppies that leave their care are in the best possible health for their new owners. We have a very careful breed order which our breeders follow. If you would like more information please visit our website. We have several articles there from the history of the Biewers to a fun newsletter which is updated regularly. So we look forward to you stopping in and meeting the Biewers.
