With the welfare of the breed ever in mind, the club actively tries to inform its prospective and current members/owners about responsible ownership, health, care and training whilst at the same time enjoying the companionship the dogs themselves. New events are tried and if successful, added to the calendar and club publications, like the Judging handbook are updated and improved upon.
Founded in the early 1980s by a handful of enthusiasts, the Affenpinscher Club has gone from strength to strength, with a wide ranging membership of pet owners, exhibitors, breeders and friends. The club's main objectives are no different to those of most breed clubs, promoting the breeding of pure Affenpinschers; maintaining breed type and protecting and advancing the interests of the breed for future generations of Affenpinscher enthusiasts.

The Fédération Cynologique Internationale is the World Canine Organisation. It includes 84 members and contract partners (one member per country) that each issue their own pedigrees and train their own judges. The FCI makes sure that the pedigrees and judges are mutually recognized by all the FCI members.

California American Water Spaniels is located in Fallbrook, California in northern San Diego County. I have been raising and breeding the American Water Spaniel since 1988. I purchased my first American Water Spaniel to get a hunting dog....not a show dog....not an obedience dog. I fell so in love with the breed and their wonderful attitudes, great ability to learn, and their desire to be all around true friends that I decided to become totally involved with the breed. Since then I have been raising and breeding these wonderful dogs. I have run AWSC Hunt Tests, NAHRA Hunt Tests, and shown in both Conformation and Obedience. California American Water Spaniels have been successful in all these endeavors and have proven that they are not only well structured dogs, but they also have trainability and they have the hunting instincts for which these dogs were originally bred.

Many say that the basenji is one of the oldest known dog breeds. Dogs with almost identical appearance as our days basenji can be found in some cave paintings in Tessir-N-Ajer, Algeria and these paintings is said to be 12 000 years old. The breed is likely to be descended from the Schensid dogs in the Kwango district in former Belgian Congo. It was also from this district that the Westerners in the year of 1895 reported about small dogs that couldn't bark. Very homogene groups of these dogs has been found in isolated pygmy tribes in Congo but also in southern Sudan. They where used both as hunting dogs, to keep the cottages warm and clean and as company for the children. Tribes in Sudan is said to value their dogs very high and they are given away as special gifts or wedding presents. As hunting dogs they show great curage, speed and persistance. First in 1936 the basenji managed to survive and reproduce in England. It took a great amount of time for the breed to acclimatize in the West World. The first basenji in Sweden arrived in 1951.

I'd like to thank with particular gratitude two persons that supported me in this project, Mr. Gino Quarta, owner of a pet-shop in Lecce, great dog-lover, that several years ago presented me with a female Beagle called Shana, a little later I decided to breed her with a local male. So, in 1996 I had my first Beagle litter.rnrnIt was really exciting, even if I had already been attending national and international dog shows with another breed I have always loved for its particular beauty, even if unique for its temper, the Siberian Husky, encouraged by a dear friend of mine, the owner of the affix Artaiga's, who had aroused my passion for expos. It was just at the National Show Dog in Avellino in 1998 I took part with my Siberian Husky called Ice, I was very proud of, and I decided to bring a daughter of Shana, Principessa Kookai.rn
